However, I have tried to grade the comic book according to the grading system listed below. Comic Book Grading Scale Grading: NM A nearly perfect copy that looks brand new with only a few very minor defects. Acceptable minor defects on a NM copy include: A very small amount of spine stresses without color breaks, very minor instances of denting (two or three at most), slight corner blunting, and minor (less than 1/8") bends without color breaks. Grading: VF This is a mid grade item. It will have a few minor defects and will generally appear to be in "slightly used" but not "roughly used" condition. Defects allowed on an item in this grade may include minor corner wear (bends and blunting), small/light accumulation of dents, bends or folds, and light spine wear. Most comics, magazines, and books published in the last 30 years that have been read one or more times but carefully handled and stored will fall in this grade range. Grading: GD This is a low grade item. It will have defects and will generally appear to be in "used" and in "rough" condition. Defects allowed on an item in this grade may include minor corner wear (bends and blunting), accumulation of dents, bends, folds, soiled, and spine wear.
